Since the release of the platform in 2019, KAH has been present at national fairs and is increasingly positioning itself internationally. Indeed, our increased fair presence allows us to connect with collectors*, galleries, and other projects. Moreover, by representing young art, we bring more diversity to the existing range of fairs and at the same time offer emerging artists a potential market entry. By participating in fairs, we can expand our network beyond Austria and thus offer our artists the opportunity to become visible on the international market.

Parallel Vienna 2021

Parallel Vienna will take place for the ninth time in Vienna from September 7 to 12, 2021, and remains true to its approach of using temporarily vacant buildings as a presentation platform for contemporary art. This year the fair will take place in the former Semmelweisklinik in Vienna’s 18th district.

Parallel Vienna presents young and emerging as well as established artistic practices and brings together art initiatives of all kinds – art associations, galleries, project spaces, off-spaces and artists’ spaces – , both Austrian and international, under one roof. In this way, it connects local artistic creation with international trends and helps to build networks and promote exchange between artists, curators, collectors and exhibition visitors.
