Linda Steiner

Linda Steiner was born in East Tyrol in 1993 and came to Vienna in 2012 to study art. She visited “die Graphische” for 2 years and came into contact with larger sized artworks for the first time. After graduation, and several failed applications at the Academy of Fine Arts, the young artist decided to go her own way, without an institution.

In 2016 she joined an artist’s studio and found an exchange with young international artists there, which has had a great impact on her and her work. Especially in the last year, she was able to record some successes as an artist. At Improper Walls Gallery she presented her first solo show “Auf Augenhöhe” and several works in various group exhibitions in Vienna.

In her works the artist mainly deals with herself and her environment. Most of the time the works are very personal and intimate.
Besides her focus on painting, Linda Steiner also works with illustration, street art, linoleum prints, video and digital art.
