Käthe Löffelmann

Katharina Löffelmanns Studio-Works deal with the interaction between shape, material and word meaning through mostly typographic aesthetic, increasingly taking on installation character underlined through found objects.
Mostly represented in exhibitions through smaller scaled works that consist of LED and graphic elements, her original metier are the streets: In the context of street art she is mostly operating together with fellow artists Linda Steiner and Mariella Lehrer as the Ripoff Crew where they create large scale murals. Before that she has been active internationally by herself.
In general the examination of perpetual questions like gender equality, power structures and societal conventions as well as the evaluation of contemporary political issues are constantly embroided in her work.
