Eva Eichinger

Eva Eichinger was born in Upper Austria in 1988, studied fine arts at the Linz University of Art. She currently lives and works in Vienna and is co-founder of the Linz-based art group Worst Finger.

Fragility, loneliness and social upheaval, the moment just before the disappearance of the sun or the arrival of severe weather, instability and unrest fascinate me. Traces are found in the paper, cracks, creases, surfaces and shapes that arise from the process. The landscapes are abandoned, the people in my portraits are alone in a moment of happiness or isolated in their own little world, surrounded by nothing.
