Benjamin Thiele
born June 14, 1991 in Munich, lives and works for several years in Vienna and Linz. Since 2017 he has been studying sculpture at the Linz University of Art in Geletin’s class under Prof. Tobias Urban and Ali Janka. In parallel, he has been working occasionally with Markus Hofer since 2014.
His works mostly refer to everyday objects that are changed by minimal interventions, and thus get a new meaning.
Objects often connected by wordplay, but not coexisting, are presented in a new image.
But also conceptual works such as the “chair leg” have long been a form of expression and representation for the artist.
