Anna Pelz

Anna Pelz (1997, Vienna) has been studying in the TransArts department at the University of Applied Arts in Vienna since 2018, since 2022 in the Master’s program, experimenting with different media such as sculpture, photography and text, while her focus is on painting and how she can extend it into space in an installative way. She plays with sensual materials and bright colors as a low-threshold approach to art and complex subject matter. Her working method can be described as intuitive, while research on current topics always influences her work. Anna Pelz allows her inner worlds to merge with the external and intertwines personal emotions with world events. She questions common categorizations and supposed opposites and allows them to coexist. The artist has been exhibiting solo and at group shows since 2019 (ParallelVienna 2019-2023, AUSBRUCH – LesNouveauxRichesMagazine @ImproperWallsGallery,…) and participated in a residency at St.MoritzArtAcademy in 2020.
