Alice von Alten

Alice von Alten, born in Munich, lives and works in Vienna and southern Burgenland. From 2010 to 2016 she studied landscape design / place-based art at the University of Applied Arts Vienna and in 2015 attended the class Inter- Architecture at the Rietveld Academie in Amsterdam.

In her cross-media works, she investigates and questions the cultural mediation of images and ideas of nature. By deconstructing and decontextualizing familiar images, which flow into new compositions, she explores ways of perceiving nature and the self.
